There is not a series of tissues, "moleskin", some of which are made of cotton and others.

Moleskine traditional (as in the United Kingdom uses pants outdoors) is a heavy cotton fabric closely and homespun linen with a nap surface, often created by brushing. Modern "is a polyester-brushed poly twill moleskin or face velourish thing - sometimes knit sell like velvet moleskin.

Cotton is a type of cotton cloth with a very light or heavy, which was treated by brushing, to obtain a smooth surface, usually on one side. Cotton flannel, for example, is a brushed cotton. While denim pencil. I even have a piece of cambric brushes - Batista is a plain weave cotton light normally used for fine shirts,Nightgowns and baby clothes.

So it is really best to learn the details of the materials you wish to be considered for a project into consideration. Many of the traditional names of the tissue abused all the time. I was offered chambray (plain tabby weave) Denim (cotton), Pique and pleated seersucker a relief for the Ottoman organza, etc. Sigh.
